(Boise, ID) – The Idaho Steelheads have released dates and times for their upcoming ECHL Kelly Cup Western Conference semifinal matchup against the Las Vegas Wranglers.
The best-of-seven series will follow a 2-3-2 format. The third-seeded Wranglers will host Games 1 and 2. Games 3, 4, and 5 are scheduled to be hosted by the seventh-seeded Steelheads at CenturyLink Arena in Boise, with Games 6 and 7 scheduled for Las Vegas, if necessary.
Game 1: Monday, April 16, Idaho at Las Vegas (8:05 PM Mtn)
Game 2: Tuesday, April 17, Idaho at Las Vegas (8:05 PM Mtn)
Game 3: Thursday, April 19, Las Vegas at Idaho (7:10 PM Mtn)
Game 4: Saturday, April 21, Las Vegas at Idaho (7:10 PM Mtn)
Game 5: Sunday, April 22, Las Vegas at Idaho (7:10 PM Mtn) *
Game 6: Tuesday, April 24, Idaho at Las Vegas (8:05 PM Mtn) *

Game 3 in Boise is “Game C” in ticket packets for Season Ticket Holders. Game 4 is “Game D” and, if necessary, Game 5 would be “Game E.” Single-game tickets are available for Games 3 and 4 by contacting the CenturyLink Arena box office at 208.331.TIXS or by visiting www.idahosteelheads.com. Tickets for Game 5 will go on sale once it is known that the game will be necessary.
The Steelheads defeated Ontario, three games to two, in a best-of-five first round series in order to reach the semifinals. Las Vegas swept Utah in three straight games.
Idaho and Las Vegas are used to facing each other in the postseason. Since each team joined the ECHL for the 2003-04 season, the Steelheads and Wranglers have met four times in the playoffs with Idaho winning three of the matchups, including last season:
2004 – Idaho wins first-round series, three games to two (best-of-five)
2006 – Las Vegas wins first-round series, four games to three (best-of-seven)
2007 – Idaho wins conference semifinal series, four games to two (best-of-seven)
2011 – Idaho wins first-round series, three games to two (best-of-five)
